Her birth date is 29, 1985 in Roswell, New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza is her full name. Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican child from Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, is birthed in Mexico. She is Mexican origins, however she is American in nationality. Since her early years she's had an intense interest to play sports. Gerina began playing golf at the age of fifteen. Gerina completed her secondary schooling in Goddard High School. While she was in the high school level, she was able to win the New Mexico state golf tournament. Additionally, she was the volleyball player that competed on the level of state. In the year 2003 she entered The University of Texas. Through her senior year she was the winner of every competition she participated in. Through her college year, she received Conference USA's individual player of this year and was also named UTEP Female Athletic of the Year.

Norman was known for her outstanding defense at Brockport. She was a defensive player of the ball. She brings a lot of intangibles this year for the Lady Lakers. She is able to defend the ball at a high degree and her strong mentality give her a thumb up heading into her debut season at Finger Lakes.
