Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
As I was a mom with one child at my side and other children within the cradle worked 12 hours a day sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! It was all falling into place, but we were nowhere near done. For furnishing the space would be a huge effort in terms of time and money. Also, I had go to my favorite stores. In order to stay within my budget, I began going to estate sales along with my three sons to find jewels in the rough. Every week, we would walk through garage and estate sales on Fridays and Saturdays buying a mixture of old and new pieces. I then spent working on my projects out in the driveway. What I saw looked something like... This is when my desire to repair furniture was born. The issue was not whether the house was already decorated. I rented a booth in the market at my local location and even sold some items there. I was able to outgrow the market because I had numerous pieces I was able to use. There were open houses at my house where over 1 000 people came through on a single weekend and could purchase whatever they saw on the ground floor. My business Growing Days began here. Growing Days was not only a thriving business but it was also a loving family. In some ways, I had found the perfect balance between being a mum and launching my business. Growing Days was the obvious decision. In 2013, my lovely daughter Nora joined our 4th child. While I was pleased about the direction my company was taking, I realized that I had to take a little break. I decided to put off building my old furniture for a while and be at home with the children. This was just the thing I needed. However after a few months after that, the phone began to call. They asked for my assistance in decorating as well as renovations. They were mostly people who came to my open house for furniture. As I went along I began adding clients to my list each day. But it wasn't that long before I was managing many clients and operated a successful home remodeling business. I'm sure you would have made me laugh if you told me this was going to be the subject of the DIY Network tv series. As I reflect back, it still makes me laugh.
