In 2011, she began her own television show called The Pioneer Woman which is continuing to air on The Food Network. She also writes books which, in the majority of them, contain recipes for cooking. Columbia Pictures has announced the adaptation of her book "From Black Heels to tractor wheels" to a feature film.
